Who We Are

NTFP-EP Philippines (Non-Timber Forest Products Exchange Programme) is the lead non-government organization in the country that spearheads efforts to empower forest-dependent communities through NTFPs. We serve indigenous peoples, whose lifelong ability to sustainably manage and use forest resources are threatened by pressures from mainstream society and by policies that have failed to take into account the IPs’ culture and needs.

Mission

We are a network of non-government organizations and people’s organizations working towards the empowerment of indigenous peoples and communities to strengthen, develop, promote NTFP–based forest management strategies that are sustainable, culturally- appropriate, and gender responsive, for future generations.

Vision

Empowered indigenous peoples and local communities inclusively governing forest landscapes to contribute to biodiversity and forest conservation and protection, and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
